Mr Hutchinson is a general surgeon with an interest in gastroenterology, gastroscopy, colonoscopy and upper and lower GI surgery including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic appendicectomy.
More than 75% of Mr Hutchinson's work is day case surgery. This includes paediatric surgery for children (over 3 years of age) needing circumcision, hernias, orchidopexies etc. For adults he performs Lichtenstein hernia repairs with poly propylene mesh and have a special interest in sportsman's hernia (Gilmore's groin) with links to several rugby league, soccer and ice-hockey clubs.
Mr Geoffrey Hutchinson is a life member of TOAST (www.toast-uk.org) which is committed to ensuring that people whose lives are directly affected by obesity have a voice to impact policy, treatment and services.
